About the course

This course provides an overview of disordered eating and clinical eating disorders, including key behavioral patterns such as restraint, restriction, and binge eating. Participants will learn to differentiate disordered eating from diagnosable eating disorders and review current prevalence, mortality, and risk data. The course covers DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), and Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED), along with associated subtypes and medical complications. Clinical case examples are used throughout to support diagnostic recognition across diverse populations.
